“Stay safe” is a relic expression from the lockdowns. It means stay inside and do nothing, don’t get close to other people, and stay scared. It reminds you to even be afraid of the air you are breathing.

“Stay safe” was the warning call of the pharmaceutical giants, to keep us all scared and gullible. Their fear mongering got people to take an experimental shot that didn’t fit the definition of a vaccine, until the definition was subsequently changed.

don't stay safe“Stay safe” became a mindset that would have churchgoers wearing masks at church; an outward sign of fear, when God’s message is do not be afraid. It became a mantra that fueled the hate of others who didn’t think like the rest of the crowd. To this day there is still disdain for those who chose not to be afraid. Their lives were destroyed. They were censored, demonetized, de-platformed, demoted, fired from their jobs, and canceled (including attacks on professional licensure).

I realized, early on, that this “stay safe” expression was problematic. I never used it. There are many other things we can say to wish someone well, e.g., “be well,” “be successful,” “be fearless,” and “be strong.”

Let’s end the reign of “stay safe” as something good to say. It’s not good; it’s manipulative and destructive. “Stay safe” is mind control that promotes fear and separation. It’s not healthy to repeat this mantra. Let’s say things that bring us together instead of driving a wedge between us.

Be well and stay free!
