" is broadly used to describe applied kinesiology: a type of body analysis using muscles as a guide. However, not all muscle testing in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles is the same; not even close.
The type of kinesiology analysis that we do in Beverly Hills, has significant differences than the common "muscle testing" methods generally practiced by other Los Angeles kinesiology doctors.
In a manner of speaking, what we do isn't even in the same category as average "muscle testing." That's why if you have had previous marginal/minimal success with another nutritional kinesiology doctor in Los Angeles, or nutritional muscle testing, by a kinesiologist in Los Angeles it has no bearing on predicting your success in my office. Even if you've "been there, done that" with muscle testing or chiropractic kinesiology before, my testing method as described below is unique, and now, with our help, your results could be better.
Our goal for you at my Beverly Hills office is not to test a muscle's strength at all, but instead to observe neural control of your muscles. Our specific testing method would be more accurately called a neural-control task via intentional-response, vs. a "muscle test," or "muscle testing."
Ever wonder why blood tests (drawing blood through a vein) are not called "vein tests?" That's because the the vein doesn't matter for that test. Likewise, for my nutritional kinesiology method, it's your subtle control of your response that matters the most; not your muscle strength.
The following will clarify what makes us unique, and how our kinesiology is so different than most "muscle testing," "nutrition muscle testing," or kinesiology nutrition.
Some Similarities, Some Differences
, the starting point of our testing system based on "Nutrition Response Testing" (NRT) is to first measure your body's ability to respond correctly. With kinesiology/muscle testing, the usual measure is based on the strength of the response (1,2), but with my method, the testing is based on your ability to control your responses, which is very subtle, and can give so much more insight than just testing muscle strength. In other words, we're focusing on stability, not muscle strength. Since we are not focusing on muscle strength, it is much harder for a patient to use excess exertion to outsmart the test. It doesn't matter how "strong" you are. With an optimal response your muscle reaction and stability is immediate. Can you hold your arm or leg still, against a minimal, varying force? Our experience shows that about 80% of people with chronic fatigue, chronic pain, adult ADD, - IBS - or leaky gut can not!
Muscle Testing Doctors Often Measure For Strength
We Measure Response Delay (Latency) witch is more sensitive
Applied Kinesiology muscle testing and our nutritional kinesiology with nutrition response testing do look similar, but the tests are different. Trying to measure relative strength, is more potentially inaccurate. It's like trying to determine the relative weight of the two largest melons at the supermarket by feeling their weight in your hands: you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. So instead of using such a potentially inaccurate procedure, we analyze your reaction timing; a neurological event seen through subtle muscle performance tests. We observe your muscle responses to see if you have optimum/uninhibited function of the nerve pathways between your brain and your body (very important). Delayed responses may reflect a state of less than optimal wellbeing, and may indicate some level of underlying dysfunction needing more investigation.
Whole Body Kinesiology Chiropractor
Applied Kinesiology doctors may do muscle testing for a localized problem with a muscle. On a more holistic level we start-out testing for delayed responses that will be evident throughout your whole body, regardless of which muscle group we use. This is a holistic whole body approach
to your optimal wellness and health. Done correctly as part of your overall health assessment, this type of intentional muscle response testing can give us key information about your whole body that can give greater insight about your condition. Even previous blood tests may be seen in a new light.
Nutritional Kinesiology, Los Angeles
Our unique kinesiology method is a powerful evaluative tool, that combines clinical nutrition with our evolved kinesiology in Beverly Hills. We use it to observe the reactions your body would have when an object of clinical importance such as allergens, foods, or the most common barriers to health- would contact your body. Thorough a series of sequential, repeatable response observations (clinical kinesiology nutrition), the insight we gather about your body's potential underlying condition (basic functions of your body like digestion, elimination, immune function, spinal function, brain function, etc.) can be profound. It is a necessary part of any high performance health promoting program. I am proud to be known as one of the very few doctors in Los Angeles, and California that has mastered this evaluation method. I welcome you to call for your appointment.
Great Reviews !
"Dr. Barry Lieberman is by far the BEST Recommendation I can give anyone... I wish all my friends and everyone that I love would go see him."
I never knew that I could get at the causes of my problem, instead of just stopping the symptoms every day. I am so much better now, without taking my previous medicines. I feel great now!
I'm so happy! Susan M.
I used to feel like I had a "muddy brain." It would come and go. It was terrible. Now I have brain clarity!
That's Health Empowerment!
Your program will not be the same as someone else’s because no one is the same as you!
