The term "

muscle testing

" is broadly used to describe kinesiology: a type of body analysis using muscles as a guide. However, not all muscle testing in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles is the same; not even close.
The type of kinesiology analysis that we do in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles has significant differences than the common "muscle testing" methods generally practiced by other Los Angeles kinesiology doctors.
In a manner of speaking, what we do isn't even in the same category as average "muscle testing." That's why your previous marginal/minimal success with another nutritional kinesiology doctor in Los Angeles, or nutritional muscle testing, by a kinesiologist in Los Angeles has no bearing on predicting your success in my office. Even if you've "been there, done that" with muscle testing or chiropractic kinesiology before, my testing method is optimized, and now, with our help, your results can be remarkable.
Our goal for you at my Beverly Hills office is not to test a single muscle's strength at all, but instead to comfortably test a repeatable neurological response, through your muscles. Our specific testing method is more accurately called an intentional response test, vs. a "muscle test," or "muscle testing."
Ever wonder why blood tests (drawing blood through a vein) are not called "vein tests?" That's because the the vein doesn't matter for that test. Likewise, for my nutritional kinesiology method, it's your subtle response timing that matters, not your muscle strength.
The following will clarify what makes us unique in Beverly Hills and greater Los Angeles, and how our kinesiology is so different than what others call "muscle testing," or "nutrition muscle testing," or kinesiology nutrition.
Some Similarities, Some Differences
Like in

Applied Kinesiology

, the starting point of our testing system based on "Nutrition Response Testing" (NRT) is to first measure your body's ability to respond correctly. With standard applied kinesiology muscle testing, the measurement is based on the strength of the response (1,2), but with my method, the measurement is based on the timing of your responses which is very subtle, and can detect so much more than in applied kinesiology. In other words, we're measuring reaction time, not muscle strength. When your response is optimal your muscle reaction is immediate. Can you hold your arm or leg still, against a small, varying force? Our experience shows that 80% of people with chronic fatigue,   chronic pain,   adult ADD,   - IBS -   or leaky gut can not!
Other Muscle Testing Doctors Measure For Strength
We Measure Response Speed (Latency) witch is extremely accurate
Even though Applied Kinesiology muscle testing and our nutritional kinesiology with nutrition response testing may look similar (because the doctor may use the arm muscles in both methods), the tests are different. With my method we are not trying to assess the relative strength of any particular muscle. This is key! Trying to measure relative strength, is fraught with inaccuracy; like trying to determine the relative weight of a melon at the supermarket by feeling its weight in your hands - a 50/50 chance. So instead, we analyze your reaction speed; a neurological event seen through muscle performance tests. It's a response we observe to see if you have optimum, uninhibited function of the nerve pathways between your brain and your body (very important). Delayed responses reflect a state of less than optimal wellbeing, and indicate some level of underlying dysfunction.
Whole Body Kinesiology Chiropractor
Contrary to Applied Kinesiology doctors, we're not muscle testing for a localized problem with any one muscle. There is a role for that, but instead we're testing for delayed responses that will be evident throughout your whole body, regardless of which muscle group we use. This is a holistic whole body approach to your optimal wellness and health. Done correctly, this type of intentional muscle response testing can give us key information about your whole body that can give greater insight about your condition than your previous blood tests.
Nutritional Kinesiology, Los Angeles
Our unique kinesiology method is a powerful evaluative tool, that combines clinical nutrition with our evolved kinesiology in Beverly Hills. We use it to verify the reactions your body would have when an object of clinical importance such as allergens, foods, or the most common barriers to health- would contact your body. Thorough a series of sequential, repeatable response observations (clinical kinesiology nutrition), the insight we gather about your body's underlying condition can be profound. It is a necessary part of any high performance health promoting program. I am proud to be known as one of the very few doctors in Los Angeles, and California that has mastered this testing method.

Great Reviews !
"Dr. Barry Lieberman is by far the BEST Recommendation I can give anyone... I wish all my friends and everyone that I love would go see him." Beth A.
I never knew that I could get at the causes of my problem, instead of just stopping the symptoms every day. I am so much better now, without taking my previous medicines. I feel great now! I'm so happy! Susan M.

I used to feel like I had a "muddy brain." It would come and go. It was terrible. Now I have
brain clarity!
